Figures go out of date
Exchange rates, fuel prices, interest rates, exam fees, inflation figures and case numbers all change — some of them weekly.
Every article carries the date its facts were checked. Treat any figure as a snapshot of that date, not as a current value. Where an article covers something that moves quickly, we say so in a note at the top.
Where we could not verify something
Our articles draw on official sources wherever possible. Where an official source was unavailable, unreadable or contradicted by another, we say so in the article and leave the gap open rather than publishing a figure we could not stand behind.
That means you will occasionally see us decline to give a number. That is deliberate.
We are not a government body
Hausa Daily News is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with:
- the Federal Government of Nigeria or any state government
- INEC, JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NYSC, the CBN, NHIA, NPHCDA, NCDC, UBEC, TETFund or any other agency
- any political party
- any recruitment agency or employer
We cannot process any application, check any result, influence any decision or intervene in any case. Nobody representing Hausa Daily News will ever ask you for money, and if someone does, they are not from us.
